I left the River School in 1991 after 5 years there. I studied Medicine at Sheffield University and am now a junior doctor. I’ve decided I want to be a surgeon. I think my main reflection on the school is that all the staff were Christians – it brought a caring atmosphere to the place.

After 4 years I left the River School in 1993 with 11 G.C.S.E.s. I  graduated in Engineering from the Sheffield University and am now studying for an MA in Alternative Energy.  During my years at The River School I appreciated the time the individual staff were able to give pupils, which benefitted me both spiritually and academically.

I started at The River School at fourteen. The school was welcoming - I soon settled in. As well as excellent academic teaching there is spiritual instruction and moral standards are developed.
