After getting 8 ‘A’s and a ‘B’ at G.C.S.E. at The River School, I went on to do A-levels. I then took my law degree at Exeter University before qualifying as a Barrister in London. The River School helped to lay excellent foundations for my academic and social development – the friendships that I had there are still important in my life… but most significantly, it prepared me to be effective and not affected, spiritually, once I entered ‘the real world’.

I am now married to Stephanie, we have two sons. I am an electrician and also a youth leader at St. Paul’s Church, Worcester.  The River School was for me a place of stability and helped to put me back on track with God through those difficult teenage years.

I left the River School in June 1995. I had studied there for two and a half years. I then started a Fine Arts Course at Worcester – I then found that it was not what I wanted to do and left after the first term to nurse my granddad. I then did various things including childcare and visiting Uganda with my church. In September 1996 I started work at a local pneumatics company as an office junior. I enjoyed rapid promotion to the position of ‘Buyer’.
