The Brook Nursery is part of The River School and is one of the few Christian nursery providers in Worcester. The River School is the only non-denominational Christian school for children from 3-16 in the county.

Our aim is to provide a relaxed, happy atmosphere which enables children to learn about themselves, the world around them, and each other; providing a solid foundation for them physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually on which they can build the rest of their lives.

Our objectives are:
To teach about God’s world, and encourage children to discover the wonder, colour and variety around them;

To introduce the basics of reading, writing and mathematics;

To provide a caring environment where children can learn to socialise and show care and respect;

To encourage the children to make music, to explore through painting, craft and role-play, and develop their imagination and creative skills;

To nurture the mind, heart and the spirit of all children to the glory of God.

Our curriculum takes The Government’s OFSTED approved Early Learning Goals for The Foundation Stage and intertwines them around the foundation of biblical truths from Creation to today; through bible stories, science, art and craft, P.E., numeracy and literacy.
